A Great New Webpage to explain Portland's new "Bike Box".

Here is something that might help people understand the new "bike boxes" at many of Portland's intersections...

This new phenomenon is the result of two fatal "bicycle - automobile" collisions in recent months in the Portland area.

The rationale for the bike box is to put the bicycle rider out in front of the autmobile as a "reminder" that a cyclist is present.
