Saturday, March 10 -- Over 160 Educators were in attendance at Clackamas CC Main Campus, Gregory Forum

Rich Hanson, ADTSEA National Teacher of the Year welcomed the crowd and briefly explained the participant packet contents. John "Harv" Harvey joined Rich and also welcomed the participants from three states!

Terry Kline began the morning with an incredible presentqtion on "Updating Modern Vehicle Technology" in which we were both entertained and informed, and even challenged to prepare for the changes coming in the automotive world as it related to Driver Education.

Clackamas County Sherrif, Sgt. John Naccarato also engaged and amazed the educators present with his "Enforcement Technology" which consisted of "Crash Reporting and Electronic Ticket Demonstration" and the "Following Too Closely Radar" presentation!!

After a yummy lunch, we were again treated to Terry Kline as he presented "Using Divided Attention Tasks to Deal with Distractions". There were some awesome and engqging student activities that Terry put the crowd through which were fun as well as informative.

It was definitely a long day for Dr. Kline as we moved into his "In-Car Training Techniques" which was very relevant and sound information. I hope we didn't wear him out. You can see how he held up in the gallery pictures from the conference!!

The State Breakout Sessions were how we ended the day and both groups (Oregon and Washington) reported back that there was many business items taken care of as well as some long range planning for the continual growth of DE in both states. Now THAT is a great use of time!!
